Illinois Immigration Funders Collaborative
Supporting immigrant communities through collaborative funding
The Illinois Immigration Funders Collaborative (IFC), based at the Chicago Community Trust, provides funding to nonprofit organizations serving immigrant communities in Illinois. IFC provides grants to organizations that offer services to support nearly 2 million immigrants, refugees, and people who are seeking or have been granted asylum.
In response to current U.S. immigration policies, IFC’s strategies focus on individual legal assistance, community defense, and capacity building. Since 2012, IFC has awarded $2.9 million to 32 nonprofit organizations. Walder Foundation support will allow IFC to continue their important work to support and strengthen our immigrant communities.
