Crossroads Fund
Supporting racial, social, and economic justice in Chicago
Crossroads Fund supports community organizations working on issues of racial, social and economic justice in the Chicago area. Our funding will support two programs led by the Crossroads Fund: The Capacity Building Initiative (CBI) and Cultivate: Women of Color Leadership (Cultivate).
CBI is a collaboration between Crossroads Fund and Woods Fund of Chicago. CBI supports 10 grantee organizations annually by providing consulting, workshops, technology support, and opportunities for learning. Our funding will enable CBI to implement a fiscal sponsorship model, support grantees as they work on organizational development, and increase opportunities for peer-to-peer learning.
Cultivate is a collaboration between Crossroads Fund, Chicago Foundation for Women, Woods Fund Chicago, and the Chicago Community Trust. Cultivate supports the personal and professional development needs of emerging women of color who are engaged in social, economic, and racial justice movements throughout Chicago. Our funding will provide support for staff, coaching programs, resources for alumni, and collaborations with DePaul University to co-develop education courses tailored to participants’ needs.
Both programs aim to support and prioritize immigrant-serving organizations and individuals with limited access to resources because of immigration status, language barriers, or other limitations.
